Production Kitchen Baker

Location: South San Francisco, CA; on-site only (no remote work)

Job Type: Part time, expected 24 - 40 hours per week.

Schedule: 4:00 am to 12:30 pm, or 5:00 am to 1:30 pm, weekends and holidays as needed. Shifts are subject to change depending on Company needs.

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Sweet Production Kitchen Baker to join our team.


Job Summary:

As a Sweet Production Kitchen Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of pastries, cheesecakes, fruit tarts, mousses, cupcakes, and cakes according to our recipes and standards. You will work closely with our team to ensure that each product meets our quality expectations and is delivered on time.


Reports To: Bakery Manager and Bakery Director

Work Environment: Production kitchen, warm and cool environments; in-person only.

Compensation $20.00 – $26.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pastry and Cake Production: Prepare and bake pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to recipes and production schedules
  • Ingredient Management: Measure and mix ingredients accurately, and maintain inventory of baking supplies
  • Weigh out/measuring precise amount of baking ingredients using scales or graduated containers
  • Assess the quality of raw materials before baking to ensure conformance to set standards
  • Uniformly mix ingredients using automated equipment such as blenders and mixers
  • Knead dough manually or with the aid of a kneading machine
  • Maintain good knowledge of complex industrial mixing machines and their operation
  • Follow existing recipes closely to ensure that products meet company standards for taste, texture, and appearance and are produced consistently with high level of attention to detail
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic work area in accordance with health and safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs)
  • Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices
  • Monitoring ovens, stoves, or other equipment used to bake products
  • Ensure proper storage of baking utensils and supplies
  • Works with colleagues as a team; maintains a positive attitude and a willingness to help others
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a pastry and cake baker in a production or professional kitchen setting
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment. Ability to follow recipes and adjust as needed
  • Ability to follow recipes and baking procedures precisely
  • Ability to employ knowledge of math in weighing and mixing precise quantity of ingredients
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Excellent sense of smell and taste
  • Attention to details - closely monitor baking process to ensure final products meet set standards
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary school training or relevant certifications are a plus
  • Serv-Safe Food Handler certification required
  • 2-5 years of baking experience required. (Knowledge of sweet and pastry baking.)
  • Availability to work various shifts including overtime, weekends as needed, early morning shift (example: 5:00 am to 1:30 pm)
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Job Description:

Draeger's Supermarkets, Inc in Danville (Blackhawk) is seeking a part-time Deli Clerk immediately.

Draeger's is a family-owned grocery company, that provides a distinctive selection of gourmet, international and natural foods, prepared foods/bakery products, meat, wine, catering, beverages and cookware products.

The deli clerk is responsible for greeting and assisting customers at the full-service deli counter.


Reports to: Deli Manager

Compensation: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Work Environment: Grocery store; in-person only.

Job Type: Part-time (weekends and holidays are a must).

Expected Hours: 24-40 per week.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet each customer with friendly eye contact
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Prepare items on the station assignment list
  • Prepare food items: sandwiches, sliced deli meats, and cheeses
  • Stock and rotate products, stock supplies, and paper goods on a timely basis; keep all utensils stocked
  • Be able to keep the workstation clean and sanitary

Compensation: $17.50 to $18.20 per hour, depending on experience.

Expected Hours: 16-40 depending on company needs.

Maintenance Technician

Location: San Mateo, Los Altos, Danville, and South San Francisco

Reports to: Maintenance Director

Job Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $30.00 – $60.00 per hour, depending on experience

Work Setting: In-person, warehouse & retail stores; includes walk-in freezers, coolers, rooftops


Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment. This includes following safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems to support Draeger's business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain production equipment in operating condition
  • Respond to floor calls and handle breakdowns efficiently
  • Coordinate with Maintenance and Store Directors on issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance and equipment rebuilds
  • Work in confined spaces after proper training
  • Report shortages or special needs to Maintenance Director
  • Support safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
  • Repair machines, rooftops, and perform light electrical work
  • Keep the maintenance shop organized

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Maintenance: 3–5 years (required)
  • Experience in a manufacturing maintenance role, preferably food-related
  • Proficient in TIG, MIG, arc, and gas welding
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with piping, plumbing, and utility systems (e.g. heaters, compressors)
  • Capable of planning layout and installation of new equipment
  • Proficiency with hand tools and shop equipment
  • Preferred: Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry
  • Leadership: May oversee junior mechanics and contractors

Abilities:

  • Adapt quickly to changes in routine or emergencies
  • Work any assigned shift, with availability on weekends and holidays
  • Lift heavy items occasionally and meet physical demands
  • Work in environments ranging from extreme heat (110°+) to very cold (-10°)
  • Use new technologies in tools and processes

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shifts
  • Day, evening, or overnight shifts
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime and weekend availability
  • Flexible scheduling preferred

Produce Clerk – Temporary

Location: Los Altos, CA, in-person only.

Reports to: Produce Manager, Store Director, and Assistant Store Director

Job Type: Temporary, part-time

Work Duration: 2–3 months

Hours: 24 – 40 hours per week

Possible Shifts: Mid shift or closing shift (e.g., 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm); subject to change

Pay Range: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour, depending on experience


Key Responsibilities:

  • Stock, wash, bundle, and trim fresh produce per store procedures
  • Rotate and restock produce on the wet rack
  • Assist in receiving department product
  • Display produce and related products attractively
  • Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service
  • Maintain cleanliness of produce department
  • Stay knowledgeable about produce and advise customers on usage and preparation

Qualifications:

  • Available for a variety of shifts including weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to great service
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for up to 8-hour shifts
  • Neat, clean appearance
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • English comprehension and communication required
