Pay range: $26/hr - $40/hr

This position reports to the Plant Superintendant.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (includes the following but not limited to):

  • Manages all day-to-day operations of the kitchen
  • Scheduling for all shifts as it relates to the Kitchen team
  • Prepares foods by operating a variety of kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients, washing, peeling, cutting and shredding fruits and vegetables, and trimming and cutting meat, poultry or fish for culinary use.

Maintenance Technician - SSF

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of Draeger’s business goals and objectives.

Work Setting: In-person at retail grocery stores, production kitchens, warehouses, walk-in coolers.

This position reports to the Plant Superintendant.

This is a full-time, non-union position (40 hours per week).

Pay: $35 to $60 per hour, depending on experience.

Must be able to travel to all store locations: Menlo Park, Los Altos, San Mateo, and Blackhawk (Danville).  Valid CDL required.

Abilities:

  • Flexibility to deal with any unforeseen changes in routine, such as immediate reassignment to another job due to breakdown.
  • Work any assigned shift, reasonable weekly overtime and weekends.
  • Complete all essential job functions relating to physical demands and requirements such as perform occasional very heavy lifting.
  • Complete all essential job functions relating to work environment that includes working in dusty, noisy and varying temperatures ranging from extreme heat (110°+) to very cool (-10°).

Qualifications:

  • 5 years direct experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing union environment, preferably food related, required.
  • Able to perform various types of welding: TIG, MIG, arc, gas.
  • Solid understanding of electronics, electrical systems, and mechanical applications.
  • Must have excellent mechanical skills.
  • Must be able to trouble shoot, diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems, and piping and plumbing issues on various pieces of production and packaging equipment throughout our plant including utility equipment such as hot water heaters and air compressors.
  • Must show a large amount of initiative and judgment in analyzing, planning and laying out work for the installation of new and used equipment as well as performing maintenance on our plant facility when needed.
  • Must be proficient with hand tools and shop equipment such as drill presses, grinders, pipe threaders, drain pipe cleaning and welding equipment.
  • May be required to work on hydraulic/pneumatic systems, heating and refrigeration systems and control systems.
  • May be required to oversee the work of lower-level rate mechanics as well as working with and directing contractors.
  • Carpentry experience preferred.
  • Refrigeration experience preferred.
  • Electrical experience preferred.
  • 3 years HVAC/R (HVAC and Refrigeration) experience required.
  • Ability to commute/relocate prior to starting work (preferred).

Job Overview:
Draeger's Supermarkets in Menlo Park is seeking a part-time, detail-oriented and organized Office Administrator to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate will have experience in office administration and possess strong organizational skills.

This position will be the primary liaison to the corporate office when the Store Director is not available. In this role, you will be undertaking all aspects of store administration duties and provide operational support to the Store Director in managing the overall workflow in the sales floor. This individual has frequent interaction with customers, vendors, owners and employees, and reports directly to the Sales Accounting Manager and Owners in our South San Francisco office. No remote work.

This position is part-time, ranging from 24 - 28 hours per week.

Sales Accounting/Accounts Receivable Requirements:

  • Must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Sales Accounting and Accounts Receivable role.
  • Experience with general ledger accounting a plus.
  • Familiar with Customer service duties over the phone, in person and in writing.
  • Possess sound judgment when planning and accomplishing goals.
  • Must have excellent time management, organization and project skills (especially under critical deadlines). Be accurate, detail-oriented & thorough.
  • Possess a professional demeanor.
  • Be able to work under strict confidentiality.
  • Be flexible in a variety of situations and be a team player.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must have strong computer skills e.g. MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook and financial accounting software.
  • Quickbooks preferred.

Sales Accounting/Accounts Receivable Duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support to the Chief Financial Officer and Sales Accounting Manager.
  • Produce departmental sales analysis report and other management reports.
  • Post reconciled daily sales receipts and produce cashier reconciliation reports following up with variances.
  • Assist with monthly billings and sales related GL account reconciliations.
  • Attend to customer inquiries, process credit applications, and invoices for customers and vendor allowances.
  • Process and collect outstanding accounts receivable including, past due, bad debts and bad checks.
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures
  • Process all manufacture coupons for redemption.
  • Research outstanding past due invoices, credit memos and delegating invoices for approval.
  • Special projects as needed.
