Walnut Bread with Ricotta, Figs & Honey 
Difficulty: Beginner  |  Prep Time: 20 Minutes  |  Makes 16 Pieces

Ingredients:
  • 1 loaf walnut bread, cut into ¼-inch thick slices and cut into smaller pieces if large
  • 8 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 1 pint fresh figs, halved
  • 2 tablespoons flavored honey (such as French lavender) or regular honey
  • Snipped fresh chives

Preheat broiler. On a large ungreased baking sheet, arrange bread slices. Broil 4 inches from heat for 1½ to 2 minutes or until lightly toasted, turning once.

Divide tablespoonfuls of ricotta cheese between bread slices. Top with halved figs and a drizzle of honey. Serve immediately.
