ROCK A SMALLER HOLIDAY

Big Things, Small PackagesWhile some may be able to sit down with a larger group and have the traditional roast turkey with all the trimmings; this year gathering may not be in the cards for many of us. We believe a celebratory meal is important to keeping our spirits up; so we have put together a few ideas for those who will be downsizing their holiday plans this year.

  • Go simple for breakfast and lunch.
  • Snag an assortment of donuts and breakfast pastries so there is something everyone will enjoy.
  • Make an entire meal of hearty appetizers.
  • A good bottle of wine or an extra special cocktail can go a long way in making the holidays feel special.
  • Pheasant, duck, and Cornish game hens are an excellent alternative to a large turkey.
  • Try cutting your favorite traditional recipes in half. Or, check Draeger's Deli. All your favorite sides come in half pints and pints, simply grab just the amount you need.
  • Try a fresh sea scallop pasta or cranberry orange glazed pork tenderloin.
  • Splurge on dessert: whether you're a fan of pie or chocolate, you can find individual or sharing for two sized desserts at Draeger's. Or, hit the freezer section and pick out your favorite ice cream. Or both...

BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU EST ARRIVÉ NOVEMBER 19TH

Beaujolais Nouveau is made from hand-picked Gamay grapes grown in the Beaujolais region of France. The grapes are considered to be a benchmark for how the year's Pinot Noir Burgundy vintage will turn out. Bottled only 6-8 weeks after harvest, it has very little tannin and is an excellent food wine- particularly for turkey!
