Draeger's is closely monitoring the latest reports from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the CDPH and our respective counties. We continue to take a number of precautionary measures for the health and safety of our customers and employees. We want share with you just a few of the steps we taking to safely serve you, our customer, during this time:
- We follow State and County health protocols including those for store capacity. This is posted on our front doors.
- Clerks are being vigilant about healthy practices (hand washing, sanitizing work stations)
- We are providing customers with hand sanitizer and wipes
- Shopping carts and baskets are being sanitized frequently throughout the day
- Face coverings are required of all staff and customers
- All self-service salad bars, soup bars, and bulk bins are closed until further notice - We ask that you wear gloves and use hand-sanitizers at all open self-service salad bars, soup bars, hot bars and coffee bars
- We encourage contactless payment; we have developed protocols for cash handling
- We monitor employee health status and take temperatures before work each day
- We have told employees to stay home if they are sick; employees have sick leave pay
- Employees are required to quarantine for 14 days if they travel 150 miles
- Ongoing testing for employees is being provided
The global pandemic that we have all been facing the last six months has been challenging for all of us in many ways. So too, in many ways it has provided us with a unique opportunity to highlight teamwork, problem solve, and remind us that together we are strong enough to face anything. We would not be who we are without an incredible team of diligent, thoughtful and amazing staff- and we would not be open without you, our wonderful customers. Los Altos is a strong community; the outpouring of well-wishes and support our family and team have felt in the last two weeks has truly been a privilege to witness.
